Cytonn targets Mt. Kenya region with new office
Cytonn Investments Management intends to tap into the Mt. Kenya region’s vast real estate investment potential. The company has identified a growing demand in the region and opened an office to handle the emerging opportunities. Cytonn Real Estate’s Nyeri town office brings the firm’s total offices to six.
Speaking during the launch, Cytonn Managing Partner and Chief Executive Edwin Dande said they seek to bring development expertise closer to the target market and also develop relationships.
“We are about to invest over Sh6 billion towards mixed-use development and will also venture into hospitality focusing on Mt Kenya region, starting with two projects, a mixed-use development and a hotel, both of which we have already identified the projects,” he said.
He disclosed that the firm so far has over Sh82 billions of real estate projects in the Nairobi Metropolitan area which complete its first phase of growth. “Our clients, especially the institutional clients, are now demanding diversification both locally and into other African markets,” added Mr. Dande. He added that spreading its footprint to Mt. Kenya was part of Cytonn’s commitment to entrench further the company’s offering of alternative investments solutions into the region.
Cytonn’s will next target Coast, Western and North Rift regions before the end of the year in its aggressive expansion drive, with the focus later shifting to sub-Saharan Africa – Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda in East Africa, and Ghana and Nigeria in West Africa.
Cytonn Investments Management Plc. is keen on expanding its services in Kenya and the African Continent and it continues to put in place all the necessary steps geared towards fulfilling the Alternative Investments Inclusion Agenda as well as redefining real estate investments in the region.
Currently, Cytonn Investments Management has five offices including Liaison House on Statehouse road, The Chancery on Valley Road, Fedha in Westlands, Adlife in Kilimani, and the Diaspora Office in DC Metro in the United States of America.
